PBS in performance
Barbara Pontecorvo

As Pontecorvo Ballet Studios enters it's 17th season, we stay focused on our primary goal: to
provide the best quality ballet training in to all students, to provide a warm and nurturing
environment and to encourage excellence, regardless of professional aspirations.

In addition, however, we are also are proud that we succeed in our secondary goal: producing
professional dancers.  PBS alumni are dancing with Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet Met, Georgia
Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Ohio and Illinois Ballet.  Our younger dancers are attending and
making strong impressions upon prestigious summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet
Chicago, School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Lines Ballet and Boston Ballet.

PBS students have all of the best options available to them.  The chances for
performing are
many, from the school wide productions, where all are invited to perform, to
Gem City Ballet,
the resident ballet company where serious students are accepted by audition only.  You can
take one class a week, eight classes a week, or even ask about the Professional Training
Division, where you will take class every day.  You can write your own ticket to success.  And
you will enjoy every minute.

Plus, this season we are adding a competitive dance division, with classes in tap and jazz to
keep up with the 'so you think you can dance' craze that is sweeping America.  Learn how to
dance with the best and become America's next idol with Jeri Dickey's Progressive Dance
Theatre.
